Now lets be honest this is not as easy as it may seem. Picture the scene, you are at day one of a three day exhibition, its 10.30 in the morning, the doors have just opened and you have only just had chance to digest your full english breakfast followed by a swift latte before preparing for what is going to be three hard days on your customer engagement strategy! It's a game of two halves Brian!

How do you want to be remembered?

The recent death of Margaret Thatcher has made me really think about how people see you and how they will about how Margaret Thatcher impacted their life. It got me thinking about how you want to be remembered? For most of us we seek acceptance and like to be liked.

Shopping with children

We all face the prospect from time to time of having to take our offspring on a shopping trip to our local town centre or shopping mall. The need for practical stuff like clothes for an ever growing brood dictates that not a long period of time can elapse before such trips can be undertaken.

How's your driving

Do you, or have you ever considered branding your car or company van to promote what your business does so it can be used effectively as a mobile bill board as you or it travels around. It is quite an under used and specialist form of advertising which has many advantages but also some disadvantages too.

I have always treated it as working, generally kicking the day off in the right direction with a networking breakfast!

Who turned off the lights?

A few years ago I had some dealings with a fairground operator who told me that when visitor numbers were down the tactic was to double the number of lights on the rides to act as a beacon, draw the crowds in, and with it, the additional incomes they sought. When business was good they take out every other bulb and save money.
